there is a leak in my studio. it's not a problem for the head of the dept. i think i'm going to make it his problem. a giant funnel will be hanging just below the ceiling catching every last drip. a clear tube will then be attached to the end of the funnel. the tube will run out of my studio, down the hall, around the corner and into the head of the departments office. that ought to take care of it. i'm sure the leak will be fixed in no time.

Getting married is one of the most desirable things in life. Jesus didn’t get married. Was there no need for marriage? This piece situates the life of Jesus into a contemporary context. It’s an atmosphere of erectile dysfunction, sexual and social incompetence and uncertainty where people look to self-help books for answers.

Braille is a language that is, to some degree, independent of culture. Its origin is not a particular geographic, but a product of a particular condition, blindness. It can be considered a true universal language. The only problem is that hardly anyone in the universe uses it to communicate.
In this context Braille is treated as if it were a traditional text. It is situated on a billboard amongst a mass of others. Billboards are meant to be seen and read. This one you can't. An interesting fact about Braille that sets it apart from text is that it's not only a series of organized "dots" but it's entirely dependent on scale. It has to fit under the pad of your finger in order to be "read". Text can be as big or as small (what if it is massive). Another difference is that Braille is not meant to be seen. It is meant to be felt. By appropriating Braille and situating it in this context it challenges ideas of intelligence and communication and raises issues about advertising.
The word on the sign in Braille is ILLITERATE.

- Each drawing had a letter embedded in it and it was attached to a support and held behind glass and it served to represent the traditional art object. In order to make the drawing relelvant to the piece its only purpose was to carry a particular letter. The eight flags had corresponding letters on them. The owners of each pieve were to situate there flag on the location of the piece. They were to notify me of that location and I would notify everyone else. The flags were scattered randomly across the map. If one were to move out of the city limits they were to contact me and a new map would be sent out to everyone that accommodated the new location. On the other side of the support was a folder that contained instructions, all of the dimensions, project notes, and data related to the project.
